Bauhouse

Manage your life
together.

Bauhouse is one notebook for everyone you live with. The weekly shop goes in it, and so does the next trip. It comes with Butler, who learns your House’s routine and puts the usual things on the list before anyone has to remember them.

Meet Butler.

Every House comes with a butler, and there’s nothing to set up. It pays attention to what you add and when you shop, down to the order you tick things off in. After a few weeks it starts handling the small next step for you.

Anything Butler puts on a list carries its bell and can be undone. It never buys or books anything for you.

Thursday, on the Groceries list: Butler suggests oat milk, which your House adds weekly.

Lists that sort themselves.

Type “oat milk” and it goes under Dairy on its own. After two letters Bauhouse finishes the word with what your House buys, so you rarely type a whole one. Everyone at home adds to the same list, and your phone tells you when someone starts the shop.

Plan the trip together.

You plan trips with the same people you shop with, so it’s the same app. Plan it together at home, then run it from your phone. Packing is just another list, so two people don’t both bring the plug adapter.

Plan it on a laptop.

Ideas wait on the left until someone picks a day for them. Tap one and watch it land on the day and on the map. Up top, “Ready to go?” shows what the trip is still missing.

On the trip it’s the other way round. Your phone shows what’s next and not much else. Whoever booked the train types it in once, code included. At the check-in desk anyone in the House can pull it up, instead of waiting on the one person with the email.

On the trip, even with no signal.

Your phone keeps its own copy of the trip. In a metro tunnel, or on a train with one bar of signal, you can still open a booking or tick off a stop. It all syncs once you’re back online.

Switch it on, tick a couple of stops, then switch it off again.

Everyone’s up to date

It costs nothing.

Bauhouse has no ads and no paid plan waiting down the line, and signing up doesn’t ask for a card. Add everyone you live with and make as many lists and trips as you like.

It works in the browser on iPhones, Android phones and laptops, so it doesn’t matter who has which.
